DANGERS OF UNEMPLOYMENT
1. Unemployment wastes away the lives of our citizens who are jobless, figures show that 2.67 million people are currently out of job.
2. It makes the unemployed to depend on society or community as a whole; whereas they could have gainfully deployed their skills in doing business.
3. Unemployment robs the nation of public funding (Income Taxes) that are needed to run the country for the provision of public goods and services.
4. The over dependency on the government as the sole employer of the populace affects the welfare of the citizens and weakens national strength.
5. It is time we gainfully engage our active labour force in business (trading activities).
6. This would cut down crime and improve the economic lives and status of the populace.
7. We need to motivate, support and sensitize our unemployed population, particularly the youth, to go in to business.
8. This would relieve the nation of the burden of handing out stipend to the unemployed periodically.
