DIRECTOR’S SPEECH. Ladies and Gentlemen, are you trapped in a 9-to-5 job? It is high time you make a move to a better life.  All the great scientific and technological facilities we enjoy in the world today are not the products of 9-to-5 working regime but the result of simple people like you who ventured out to develop their mentality and to deploy it to help others overcome their shortcomings. By so doing they got rich as the consequence of their efforts. This made most people in the USA billionaires. To mention a few Bill Gates found Microsoft, the founders of Oracle, Google and many more. We are left to enjoy the benefits of their efforts; for example the internet, computers and associated software, mobile phones, cars, the arts and other sophisticated gadgets.

Pen pushing or mouse clicking 9-to-5 jobs are enslavement with floss. The floss being the regular meagre remuneration you get at the end of every month. Our major concern is, if we trap ourselves in pen pushing or mouse clicking 9-to-5 jobs, we shall end up in depleting and causing an acute shortage of World supply of Stock in terms of goods and services; predominantly food, medication and shelter. We shall cause astronomic rise in price levels due to low productivity of output, its diversification and lack of creativity and the pressure of our geometric population increase.

Some of the most annoying things about 9-to-5 jobs are the pressure you get even though you are giving your best. In fact, the harder you try to prove to your boss that you are the smartest guy he could ever employ, only makes him give you more work to do without any extra money payment. I know a guy who was torn between his boss and his wife. He was always the first to arrive at the office and the last to leave. His wife held fast to the opinion that those late hours meant extra-marital activities. His energy was always low but he had to push to please everyone, particularly the boss who does not get pleased anyway. He worked hard and for longer hours but no one talked about more monetary returns. He was always broke. He had subdued himself with the fear of loosing the job. A predicament he dreaded so much. This thought had enslaved him and put him under the control of his boss.

Another factor is the meagre annual increment. Some employers do not even give any annual increase at all. Those who give including the government, who happened to be the major employer, give only very little; between 1% to the most 6%. Can you work out what 6% of your annual salary would be and compound increase of 6% for 30 years, if you are lucky to survive that long? Some figures to interest you. If you start at U$20,000 with a rise of 6%, your average increase in ten years would be U$1,582.

A friend, Jim Baker, worked very hard from 9am to 5pm all his life yet he did not get rich. In fact, all his hard work and being meticulous earned him was the position of HR Manager with overloaded responsibility. He was completely absent from his home. His family always missed him. At weekends, he carried work home. When he retired he was only awarded with a bunch of flowers and a wrist watch for his long service. Jim could not correct this situation now. He is 67 years old now. Time has run out for him.
My dad retired as a Military Colonel all he had was huge volume of collection of Marshall Music because of his appetite for music. He did not get rich. My senior brother retired after twenty-seven years of service as a banker. All he can boast of were wardrobe full of white shirts and ties of assorted kind and aggravating Loan One, Loan Two and an Overdraft on his Salary Account.
Uncle Thomas worked as a company driver from sun up to sun down. He did not get rich. In fact, his wife left him on account of his poverty. His bank reposed his house on account of his debts and late payments. At fifty-four he was left without a home and no wife to start a new life. That was pathetic.
Rediscover your potentialities, invest in yourself. Be motivated. All these, coupled with self application and appraisal, you are on the road to riches. Information is the key to knowledge. Appraise what King Solomon wrote about the knowledge of God, “The Lord by wisdom founded the Earth; by understanding he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths were mapped and the clouds drop down the dew.” With sufficient entrepreneurship knowledge you have got a big break-through. It is the know-how that makes the difference. King Solomon the wisest man was automatically the riches man ever lived on earth. Knowledge is the key.
When Mr. A walked to tender his resignation, he handed in two keys both of them were for Mercedes Benz given to him by his company. Everyone thought he must be mad, because it meant walking away from his annual salary of £125,000. But with his volume of knowledge and for working for himself, in less than a year Mr. A has gained economic freedom. He became rich. He does not need to work for anyone and he keeps all the money he earns, rather than the company/employer taking everything and paying him a meagre salary. You could be free from all economic constraints, if only you could develop yourself and work for yourself rather than being enslaved by a 9to5 job.
